How to combine mold risk data with a home inspection report: score first, send the driver list to the inspector, and cross-read their findings against it before deciding whether to test.

The sequence that wastes the least
Score, survey, sample — in that order, and usually stopping before the third. The score costs nothing and orders your attention. The survey finds the water, which is what determines the repair and its price. Sampling identifies what is growing, which changes the remediation almost never.
Reversing it is the common and expensive pattern: several hundred dollars of laboratory work naming a genus, and still no idea where the water is coming from.
The exception is documentation. If the situation may become a claim or a dispute, professional sampling with controls and chain of custody has value that a survey does not, and it is worth buying deliberately rather than by accident.
What to hand the inspector
The driver list, not the score. "Elevated, 55" tells them nothing they can act on. "1994 construction, stucco cladding, full basement, low-lying terrain, disclosed basement water 2019" changes where their two hours go.
The disclosure, if you have it. An inspector who knows what the seller admitted can check whether the repair described actually happened.
Any specific question you want answered in writing. "Is the cladding barrier or drainable?" is a question a specialist can answer and a general inspector may not, and asking beforehand is how you find out which you have hired.
Reading them together afterwards
Agreement is informative. A driver naming below-grade exposure and a report finding elevated moisture at the basement wall is two independent sources describing the same thing, which is the strongest signal available short of opening the wall.
Disagreement is more informative. A driver naming a documented water event and a report that never mentions it usually means the area was inaccessible — and inaccessible areas are where concealed moisture lives.
Silence on both sides is not a clearance. Neither instrument sees behind a finished surface, and a low score with thin data mostly means little has been recorded.
